Is it August already?
This past month was jam packed... with old and new friends, swimming, bike rides, birthday parties, picnics, fireworks, train rides, and on and on...
Ella LOVES to swim now and has literally become a fish overnight in her swim class! She even jumps off the diving board!!

Perfect beach day

Spent the afternoon at the beach-kids played and played and played. Stayed until dark-Mom Leigh packed a picnic dinner( salad, shrimp, hamburgers and fruit) and we did a few sparklers before heading to Grandpa and Mom Leigh's house for a sleepover. A great summer day!

Summer-lovin'

Spent a week in NH with camp friends and kids. Relaxed, swam, ate ice cream, hiked to the top of Rattlesnake mountain, had a picnic, visited the nature center, had a special anniversary dinner at The Common Man, went to story time at the Holderness library ( learned about frogs), went for walks and kids all played together. Then we drove to VT( stopped at Harpoon Brewery in Windsor, VT) on the way and spent 2 days at the cabin with deb, Anthony, Olivia and Amelia. Connor had bad allergies which flared up something like asthma-after a visit to the walk-in clinic( in Colchester)and a prescription for 2 inhalers, he was much better.
We had a great time away-now home to laundry and cleaning and swim lessons and time at the pool!

We were invited to a party at a company someone Justin has worked for...there were bouncy houses for the kids, food and great fireworks! This was the first year the kids stayed up to see fireworks-they loved them!.... and fell asleep afterwords within seconds of getting in the car...which was good since it took us half an hour to get out of the parking lot!
We have been spending time with lots of friends...walks in the park( in hot weather!)...pool time and birthday parties! Fun summer!

Soccer

E and C are trying a five day British Soccer camp here in town. Although it's not really "camp" since I have to stay with them! Connor's class is half an hour( just the right amount for his 2 year-old attention span!) and Ella's class is an hour. She does great-listens to Coach Ben, practices"squashing the bug"( stopping the ball with your foot) and carefully kicking the "egg" ( ball)-her friends Olivia and Catie are in her class and Connor has his friends, Thomas and Amelia in his class. The weather has been cool this week so perfect for a little soccer each morning!

Firetruck party!

Today I took the kids to their friends party--complete with a real firetruck! They got to climb all over it, spray the house and take a ride in it!
