Mother's Day

Today i celebrated being a mama to my two favorite kiddies. We took a nice bike ride/walk on the rail trail with a rest stop at the playground. Then we headed to a new frozen yogurt place and spent the afternoon playing in the yard while Daddy constructed our new ( hand-me-down) swingset. Dinner was homemade soup and cheese quesadillas( kids request.)
The night before we spent the evening in Norwalk with our families celebrating April/May birthdays ( Will and Alec). A very nice weekend. So happy to be a mommy to my two little blessings.

Lost first tooth

Picked ella up from school at 3:00 and made a quick stop at the hardware store. As we walked in, she said, " Ahhh, my tooth!" and there it was...her first baby tooth to fall out...the first one I discovered when visiting Vermont( Nanny and Bubba) when Ella just turned five months old. It's bittersweet-she's growing up...and the tooth fairy is coming to our house tonight( we've heard she leaves $5 for the first tooth!)

Not the best since these are iPhone pictures, but a few from the last few weeks. We're heartbroken for our town and the families affected by the horrible tragedy. Trying to find joy in the little things and the blessings in our life. These two are certainly blessings...
