Out of order, but thought this was so cute of Ella and her Thanksgiving book she made at school.

Elfie

Elfie is our Elf on the Shelf that comes to visit each December. He reports back to the North Pole each night--good or bad behavior! Usually he causes some mischief too each night or is in a hiding spot in the morning. Ella and Connor love to see what he's been up to each night!

Tooth Fairy Coming tonight!!

Ella lost her top left tooth today. She stayed home from school with a cough and cold. After dropping off Connor at school, Ella's tooth fell out in the car! We had stopped at New Morning for a coffee( for me) and Ella picked out dried pineapple as a snack. First bite into the pineapple and out came the tooth! Tooth number three to come out and a VERY loose one on the bottom. Tooth Fairy will be busy at our house!
Growing up way too fast though!

4 years old!!

We celebrated Connor's actual birthday on Sunday with a quiet day at home. Ella and Connor had colds so it was an especially welcomed day of rest and play. We did venture out to PeachWave for a birthday frozen yogurt treat mid-afternoon. Connor loved his new toy chainsaw. His favorite thing to do is play with his toys at home so I think he enjoyed his day! Hard to believe he's 4. Growing too fast. :/

Where did the time go?

This curious, fun-loving, always wanting a snuggle little boy will be f-o-u-r tomorrow. It's bittersweet. Love the dirt-loving little boy he's become, but wish time would slow down. I love my babies and they're growing up way too fast!

Birthday Girl

Hard to believe this little girl is SIX! No longer a baby or a toddler... a little girl! A girl full of spunk who loves to dance, sing, play dolls and dress-up. Loves Rainbow loom( got it as a present) and Lalaloopsy, playing outside, swimming and a new love of drawing, coloring and crafts. Loves to read and write stories. We are SO proud of our Ella and the wonderful, caring girl she is becoming.

Connor wrote his name

After a trip to KidCity( Middletown) with Fiona, we went to First and Last Tavern for some lunch. Ella and Fiona were drawing and writing their names and I asked Connor to write his name. I told him the letters and he wrote them. So proud!

First Day of Ballet

Hard to believe this is Ella's 4th year of dance! She is very excited to be doing tap and ballet ( luckily during the same class time!). She says she loves ballet and also wants to try lacrosse, gymnastics, soccer, baseball and still swim! Ha! That will make for some busy days!
Proud of our girl and whatever makes her happy! Glad she wants to try all these new things.

First day of Kindergarten

My baby is growing up too fast. It really hit me as she is heading off to K this year. I'm excited for her, but miss her when she's at school all day!

Connor will head to Montessori preschool this year9-1 on Tues. Wed. And Thursdays. He went for a visit today for an hour and cried and cried. Was totally fine when I picked him up!

We have been dog sitting for "Puck" for the past several days. This is his third time staying with us and the kids love him! Thy get a little tired of him when he nips ( he's just a year old), but overall enjoy his company !

Visits from friends

We had a great visit from our friends( now living in London) whom I've known for 25 years from our camp days on Squam Lake. I hope my kids find friends from camp or another activity whom they can call a friend for life!
Now we see each other once a year with our own children, so fun! Wish they lived closer!

Cute

All done with the cast and splint( it's on here, but not anymore in " real" life!)
We've had fun times at the Maritime Center, beach, Grandpa's house with cousins, park with Fiona and playing outside at the pool and at home. Summer is flying by-it will be hard to be back into a real routine everyday very soon!

Still have to post about the 5 days we spent in Vermont. Hot, but fun!

March Farms

What started as a fun play date at March Farms...

-

Ended in this...

A sprained wrist from a fall from the monkey bars. Ella was a trooper! Still had a good time after a visit to urgent care with dinner at a pizza place with Fiona.

Ella the Lacrosse Player

Ella has suddenly become interested in lacrosse. We don't know anyone who plays it, but she is interested in all the equipment( saw a lot at Dick's one day recently)...not sure if she'll like the actual game or she just like the "stuff" that goes with it. Today Ella drew a picture of herself and Fiona as lacrosse players. Too cute.

Maine

We spent a wonderful weekend in Maine celebrating Garrett and Allison's engagement.
We had fun walking around town when we arrived on Friday afternoon. Stayed in a house right in kennebunkport. Could walk to town and the beach. Ate at Federal Jacks on Friday night-had a complete gluten free menu! I had blackened haddock which was so great.
Saturday we took a long walk and then went to the beach where the kids played before we headed to the engagement party. Party food was so good-fresh shrimp, clam chowder, lobster rolls and hamburgers.
Sunday we walked in town again and had a nice Father's Day brunch before heading home. Had so much fun!
